Glassco's Lifetime Workmanship Warranty: What Does It Cover?
Understand Glassco’s established lifetime workmanship warranty and how to raise an installation concern without assuming material coverage.
What the established warranty is
Glassco offers a lifetime workmanship warranty. The important word is workmanship: the warranty concerns the work performed, rather than a blanket promise that glass or every related component can never fail.
Installation concerns can include air noise, water entry, trim fit and other fitting issues. These are useful reasons to request an assessment, but a symptom alone does not establish its cause or determine warranty coverage. A leak or noise can have more than one source.
Workmanship and product coverage are different
Do not read “lifetime” as a material-coverage guarantee. Product defects and manufacturer warranties are separate questions that need to be checked for the particular item. A workmanship warranty should not be assumed to cover every material failure.
Likewise, this guide does not establish transferability, an ownership condition, a detailed exclusions list or a universal remedy. Those terms must be confirmed from the applicable current warranty information, not inferred from marketing language.
If something seems wrong after installation
Contact Glassco and describe what you are noticing. Useful information includes the vehicle or property, approximate service date, the location of the issue and when it occurs. For water entry, explain the conditions; for wind noise, describe when you first noticed it. Photographs or your service paperwork can help the discussion.
Ask how an assessment should be arranged and what information is needed. Do not assume that every problem requires replacement, or that an online description establishes a warranty claim. Keep damaged or loose glazing out of use until you receive appropriate safety advice.
Questions worth asking
- Does the concern appear related to the installation?
- What inspection is needed to identify the cause?
- What current warranty terms apply to this work?
- Is any separate product warranty relevant?
- What follow-up is recommended after assessment?
